Individual Nutrition Consultations / Booking Appointments
Kelly Anne Erdman provides individual nutrition consultations at the University of Calgary Sport Medicine Centre, (403) 220-8232. The Centre makes all available appointments at the phone number provided; physician references are not required. map to U of C Sport Medicine Centre.
The first initial individual consultation includes:
- a review of the client’s medical history, pertinent lifestyle background and overall dietary and health concerns
- discussion of personal goals, supplements taken and review of current dietary intake
- an individualized dietary plan will be generated that best suits the client’s food preferences, lifestyle, and personal goals for health and wellness
- various supportive materials (recipes, menus, etc.) will be provided to help apply the dietary advice given
- initial appointments take one hour; couples (i.e., 2 clients) may choose to book a joint appointment, which will take 1.5 hours (please advise the reception staff if booking one appointment for 2 people to share)
For Individual Consultations Please Bring:
- 3 day food & fluid record: download forms
- List of supplements taken (vitamins, protein, herbal products, etc.) – or bring your actual supplements!
- List of questions to address
- Pertinent additional information (blood work, bone density tests, body composition assessment, etc.)
Coverage:
Coverage may be available through a client’s place of employment, i.e., Employee Assistance Programming (or through a spousal or parents’ similar EAP plan). Nutrition is NOT covered by Alberta Health Care or Alberta Blue Cross.

- Sport Nutrition (recreational and competitive high performance athletes)
- Weight Loss, Weight Gain, Eating Disorders / Disordered Eating
- Diabetes, Vegetarianism, Osteoporosis, Hypoglycemia
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohn’s Disease, Gout, PCOS
- Other Gastrointestinal Disorders—e.g. reflux, ulcers, colitis, etc.
- Elevated Lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides)
- Food Allergies and Intolerances
- Lifecycle Concerns: Pregnancy, Menopause, Children, Seniors
- Nutrition “Check-up” (i.e. overall assessment of eating habits when no specific health concerns)
